Eket PDP Chapter Chairman bags National Award
….Dedicates Award to Eket people for their support
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chapter Chairman in Eket local government area of Akwa Ibom State, ObongIwaad Emmanuel Mbong today was recognized by Independent Magazine Publishers Association of Nigeria (IMPAN) with National Merit Award for change and good governance for his selfless contributions in keying into the policy of the present administration in bringing change and transformation to the state political and socio-economic development.
Presenting the Award and Certificate of Recognition to the PDP Chairman in his office, the President of Independent Magazine Publishers Association of Nigeria, Prince Jude Ubaka appreciated the doggedness of the PDP Chairman in getting the needed cooperation and understanding of the good people of Eket and the state as a whole in supporting the PDP led administration despite the challenges confronting the party by opposition in the just concluded 2019 general elections.
Prince Ubaka also commended the PDP Chairman for his capacity to see to the unification and massive mobilization of electorates in his Constituency, by forging a common front with all stakeholders and commumity leaders who believes in the strong ideology of the party to transform the state which has added value to the return of governor Udom Emmanuel for second term.
“As a grassroot leader that believes in equal right and justice, you also pitched tent with relevant bodies and individuals in your constituency and the state to fashion out a master plan that break the wall of propaganda of the oppositions toward the reelection bid of governor Udom Emmanuel. Today, it is evident that your struggle with other compatriots has given you and the party victory,” he stated.
He described ObongIwaad Mbong as an accomplished grassroot leader with a unique track record of managing complex state programs to a significant development impact including in defense of the party, and enlightening of the people on government programs and policies of PDP led government, stressing that he has actually proved his worth and competence as a patriotic leader which has earned him the recognition from IMPAN.
“You have actually proved your worth and competence as a patriotic leader. Your developmental stride is worthy to be recognized and appreciate for other leaders in the society to see and emulate,” Ubaka emphasized.
Responding, the recipient, ObongIwaad Emmanuel Mbong thanked the organization for finding him worthy to be recognized with such a highly revered national recognition, reiterated his commitment to continue to contribute positively to his community and the state at large.
He added that the recognition has spur him to do more for his community, dedicating the award to the people of Eket who have always stood by him to deliver on his assignments.
Independent Magazine Publishers Association of Nigeria (IMPAN) is a body of Publishers of Magazine in the country to support, promote and uphold the highest publishing standard and professional ethics of content publishing in print and online in accordance with the Association code of conduct and business standards. The Association was formed to shield the publishers of magazine in the country who believed in democracy and some patriotic leaders in the 3 tiers of government and Non-governmental organizations who devoted themselves in building the nation’s democracy through their chosen field of endeavours.

Abubakar, DCP Abba Kyari, Commander, IGP Intelligence Response Team, Dr. Ibe Kachukwu, immediate past Minister of State for Petroleum, Sen. Yusuf A. Yusuf, Hon.
