The SA to governor on entertainment, Akwa Ibom State, Mr David Sargeant a.k.a Utang Akwa Ibom on Tuesday received the executives of Uyo People’s Entertainment Movement (U-PEM).
U-PEM which is an umbrella body for entertainers in Uyo local government area is yet to be inaugurated but in line with due process, the president of the association, Ettyluv Pius, the SA on entertainment to the house member representing Uyo State Constituency (Rt Hon Anietie Eka) led the excos in what can be termed as a familiarization visit to the head of the entertainers in the state.
High Point of the meeting was the introduction of the executives with their portfolios to the SA to governor on entertainment and intimating him with the goals and objectives of the yet to be inaugurated association.

In his respond, The SA on entertainment to the governor, Utang Akwa Ibom lauded the leadership of association for thinking outside the box in trying to see how to grow and develop entertainers and entertainment in general in the state. He called for unity of purpose among the leaders and advised against selfishness which according to his is a major barrier for growth.
He further advised the association’s executives to be ready for criticisms as they will surly come but charged them to be different from every other existing entertainment groups in the state through their actions and activities.
Utang Akwa Ibom pledged to support the association through every possible means as long as he remains the SA to governor on entertainment in the state.
