In line with her Corporate Social Responsibilities, and as part of her 20th. Anniversary Celebration, the Management of Villa Marina Hotels, Eket, yesterday, 26th. November 2020, gave a cash donation of half a Million Naira to ANGELINA FOUNDATION FOR KIDS.

The presentation ceremony was at the office of the Chairman/CEO of the Hotel, Distinguish Senator (Bishop) Helen Esuene, PHF. A two time Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the former 1st. Lady of the then South Eastern State, now Akwa Ibom and Cross River State, one time Senator and Governorship Candidate in Akwa Ibom State.

While making her remarks, Senator Esuene thanked the Coordinator of the Foundation for considering the children of the fallen heroes in his programmes. She said it is a foundation that no one would quarrel with, rather it would be most appreciated. She advised the visiting Team to be very prudent in the management of the Foundation, so that no one would pick holes from their operations. She said for the FOUNDATION to gain the support and cooperation of the Police Headquarters is a big plus to them.

Senator Esuene also informed the visitors that their vision is closely knitted to that of the Villa Marina Hotel, because they equally value Education. She revealed that for 23year now, her Hotel and the Esuene Foundation have awarded Tertiary scholarship to about 226 students in different Universities across the country. That now, most of them are graduates in different field of studies.

So, in Support of the foundation, she made an initial donation of half a Million Naira. She added that the Hotel would from time to time cooperate with the ANGELINA FOUNDATION.

Finally she specially requested that the children of late Police Officers in Eket should be considered first in their next program.

In his contribution, the DPO of Eket, Mr. Sunday Digha thanked the Management of Villa Marina Hotel for the show of love to the children of the slain Police Officers and Men. He advised the leadership to equally meet with the Commissioner Of Police, Akwa Ibom State Command, to brief him on the Activities of the Foundation. He assured them that the CP would be very glad to host them and is in the position to identify the families of the late Officers and those that are in dire need of the scholarship.

In his response, the National Coordinator of the Foundation, Mr. George Usman Meji said he only extended the gesture to Her Excellency, Senator Helen Esuene, having heard about her excellent services to humanity and she immediately invited them to come over to Eket. Hence the visit. He thanked the Villa Marina Hotel for their kind donation, promised to do as she directed.

Also at the presentation were the General Manager of Villa Marina Hotel, Elder Canice Ezirim and the Senior Management Staff of the ANGELINA FOUNDATION FOR KIDS.
