Eket Council Chairman reacts to the last night attack on a female Student by criminals on Motorcycle.

We reported that last night, at about 8pm, a female Student was attacked by criminals on Motorcycle. She was beaten and disposed of her phone, money and other personal effects, opposite Local Government Secretariat, Eket.

The event happened on Friday, 11/12/2020 at about 8pm. The victim is Miss Mfoniso Johnny, A Public Administration Student of Proof Management College, Eket.

In his quick reaction, the Executive Chairman of Eket Local Government Area, Rt. Hon. Akan Tommey, this morning, condemn the act in his entirety.

He said he has a full brief of the incident and has already taken Action on it.

He said that he would hold a Security meeting next week with the Security Agencies to review the security challenges so as to have a very peaceful Environment during the Yuletide season.

He assure Eket residents and visitors that Eket is safe under his watch, and the Security Operatives are ready for Action.
