The Eagles dominated the match played at the Teslim Balogun, stadium in Lagos right from the blast of the whistle.
Their dominance paid off in the 23rd minute when Victor Osimhen found the back of the net. The Napoli forward poked home his fifth of the series after receiving a delightful pass from Kelechi Iheanacho.
The Eagles had few chances to extend their lead before the break but some how the scorelines remained the same.
However, they took a two goal lead five minutes after the break after Oghenekaro Etebo curled home from close range and inside the box after Victor Osimhen teed him up.
Gernot Rohr regiggled the line up in the 54th minute when Jamilu Collins came in for the marauding Zaidu Sanusi.. Paul Onuachu and Henry Onyekuru also came in later on to replace Victor Osimhen and Alex Iwobi.
Moments after coming on and in the 83rd minute, Paul Onuachu got a third for the Eagles when he volleyed in after Henry Onyekuru teed him up inside the box.
Team Captain Ahmed Musa and Anayo Iwuala came on to replace Kelechi Iheanacho and Samuel Chukwueze as the Eagles continued to prove for a fourth in the closing stages but it never came.
The game eventually ended in that fashion as they finished off as Group L leaders.
