The member representing Ikeduru State Constituency in Imo State House of Assembly, Uche Ogbuagu, who was recently suspended by the Speaker alongside five other members, has said that he did not approach any Abuja court to seek for redress.

The former Majority Leader, in a press release on Friday, said that he had earlier made his position known on the matter.

According to him, “I have handed it all over to the Most Supreme Court of Heaven and Earth, because I know my hands are clean.

“When God sends his own on an errand, he equips him and fights his battle.

“Thus far, He has led me, He has been too faithful to fail.

“It has been obvious that no regular or new media writer can attract readers’ attention these days without using my name as a peg and banner headline.

“Moreover, it’s barely one week, when we, the affected members, parlayed the state Executive of our party on the way forward. We are looking forward to hearing from them.

“Also, the Chief Executive, His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodinma, Governor of Imo state, the father of the party, who is the reason why I joined the APC, has not yet spoken on the matter. All these avenues have not yet been exhausted hence, there is no need for litigation by me.

“I am a man of destiny. I didn’t send myself to the state Assembly. Let no man fight whoever God has sent on a mission. Let those who accused me prove to the world, when and where I filed the suit.

“The same people who pronounced my suspension may be the people behind all this. I am not bothered, as vengeance is of God. He has promised, He will never fail me. His faithfulness is forever sure,” he concluded.

He disclosed that one of the suspended members has appealed to the Adhoc Disciplinary Committee, while the other four are trying other avenues to be reinstated.

Obinna Okwara represents Nkwerre state constituency in the Assembly.
