2023: Former IPAC chair eyes Rep seat

Former chairman of Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) in Cross River State, Sunday Ikpi Michael has decided to seek votes from the people of Abi and Yakurr local government areas of the state to represent the federal constituency in the House of Representatives in 2023.

He disclosed this in an issued statement sighted by our correspondent, saying he will formally make the declaration public soon.

Michael said that the declaration of his interest is a result of careful considerations of the challenges faced by the people as well as his continued consultations on what should be done to improve on their security, wellbeing and prosperity that have spurred him to aspire for the seat.

He said if he gets the ticket, he will run a race devoid of rancour for the seat, remarking that there is a brighter future ahead of them as they jointly chase the dream of practical impact in areas of political, educational, economic, social growth and development.

Michael however commended those that had represented the constituency, saying they added their voices to national discourse and have drawn a standard that he is determined to build upon.
