Ahead of the inauguration of the seventh Abia State House of Assembly, the permanent secretary and clerk of the house, Mr. Johnpedro Irokansi, has declared that the current sixth Assembly will hold its valedictory session on June 3.

The Clerk also disclosed that the inauguration ceremony of the seventh Abia State House of Assembly has been shifted to Tuesday, June 11, 2019.

The event was earlier fixed for Thursday, June 6, 2019.

Irokansi, who made this known in a statement forwarded to ND REPORTERS on Saturday night, did not state reasons for the shift in date.

He, however, regretted the inconveniences the change could cause members of the public.

The statement read, “We regret all the inconveniences, which may arise from the date of the 7th House inauguration.

“The new date is now Tuesday, June 11, 2019, while the venue of the ceremony remains the Assembly chambers, Oguruibe layout, Umuahia”.
