EPL: Nigerian defender to sign deal with Chelsea
Chelsea are ready to offer Fikayo Tomori a new deal, according to the Evening Standard.
It is believed that Tomori, who is eligible to play for Nigeria, is set to hold talks with The Blues following his promotion to the first team.
The 21-year-old had been linked with a departure to Everton before the transfer window closed on Thursday.
But David Luiz’s unexpected transfer to Arsenal saw Chelsea pull the plug on his proposed move to Goodison Park.
Tomori is contracted to the Stamford Bridge outfit until June 30, 2021 having signed a new contract in August 2016.
He was on loan all through last season at Derby County.
